Heidi Montag: I Am A Plastic Surgery Addict

Heidi Montag told ABC News she was addicted to plastic surgery after undergoing ten surgeries in a day this past January, and places the blame for the physical and emotional pain she suffered as result on the surgeon who performed the operations, the late Dr. Frank Ryan.

Montag, 24, told the network she did "not feel like I was prepared enough for" the surgeries, which she said left her feeling like she'd been "hit by a truck.

"Maybe I should have known," The Hills star said. "But how can you know when your doctor's saying, 'It's just a little of this, it's just a little of that'?"

Ryan tragically died at 50 this past August 16 when his Jeep tipped over the side of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. At the time, Montag grieved her doctor saying, "He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met," she Tweeted of Ryan August 17. "He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."

In the new ABC interview, however, Montag is singing a different tune, claiming the doctor misled her en route to the operating table.

"I definitely should have been way more informed," Montag said. "I think that doctors should really walk you through all aspects of it, not just the glamorous side of it. Doctors, it's like they're selling you cookies."

"I don't want the biggest boobs in the world and, to be honest, I would take them out and downsize them but I don't want to go under the knife again," she told the network. "I feel like I'm stuck with them now... sometimes I wish I could go back to the original Heidi."

The interview with Montag airs in a special titled Primetime: Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far? airing at 10/9c Wednesday on ABC.

Heidi Montag Trashing Surgeon For Publicity

Heidi Montag is a publicity seeking opportunist who used the death of her plastic surgeon to try to stay famous, a close friend of Dr. Frank Ryan told Radar Online in a hard-hitting interview.

Responding to Montag’s recent comments on TV that Dr. Ryan misled her about her 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, Dawn DaLuise told Radar Online: “She is desecrating his memory.” Dawn also told Radar Online that Heidi was “obsessed” with Dr. Ryan and he was forced to spurn her advances!

After his tragic death this summer Dr. Ryan has been fondly remembered by people close to him, but his most infamous patient had only bad things to say about him and his friends are furious about it.

Heidi trashed the dead surgeon in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight saying “It was a lot harder than I was led on by my doctor…I didn’t know how excessive it really was…and to the extent a lot of stuff.”

“Heidi Montag is taking advantage of Dr. Ryan’s death,” DaLuise, Ryan’s friend of 15 years, exclusively told Radar Online.

Dawn organized the packed memorial for the doctor on November 15, and she slammed Heidi’s motives for speaking ill of Dr. Ryan and not attending the memorial celebration his friends and family held.

“Her PR people and agents were weighing the options of her either attending the memorial service for him on Monday or going on TV and talking about him and I guess she decided to trash him instead of remember him,” Dawn told Radar Online.

“Heidi is just trying to stay famous,” she said of the reality star who recently admitted she and her husband Spencer Pratt, are broke.

Dawn said that Dr. Ryan told friends Heidi was obsessed with him after her surgeries.

“Heidi was fixated with Dr. Ryan. He told friends that she used to show up and try to talk to him all the time. She was obsessed with him and he spurned her advances,” Dawn said.

Dawn defended Dr. Ryan’s operations on Heidi, and said her claims of regret are now only for show. “She wanted bigger breasts right after the surgery and she kept going back to him to ask him for more. He did not instigate her surgeries, she insisted on everything.

Irate over the statements Heidi made, Dawn slammed the reality star’s tactics.

“Now that he isn’t here to defend himself she is vilifying him.”

Heidi Blames Dead Doc For Surgery Nightmare

Heidi Montag is speaking out about her plastic surgery nightmare - expressing her regret for undergoing ten proceedures in just one day and saying her doctor, the late Frank Ryan, misled her.

Montag- speaking to E.T. - said of the surgeries: "It's not who I am. It's something I did. It was a choice that I made, and I wanted other women and people to know, 'yeah, I have insecurities and so does everyone, and this is what I did, and I don't want to lie about it, and I don't want to cover it up. I don't like lying. It's just not who I am. In retrospect, I do wish I never would have said anything..."

When she was asked if she was happy with the after-result of her surgeries, Heidi said: "I wouldn't do it again... If I could go back, I'd wouldn't have had them..."

"It was a lot harder than I was led on by my doctor... I didn't know how excessive it really was.. and to the extent a lot of stuff."

"It was a lot .. it was a lot.. and I'm very thankful for how it turned out... It could have been disastrous." Could have been? Does Heidi not have a mirror?

Montag underwent ten surgeries in a single day last November. She had her breast implants increased to DDDs, a brow lift, a nose job revision, lipo on her stomach and thighs and a butt augmentation, among other things.

Montag has said she regrets one of the surgeries in particular - getting extreme breast implants. This past August, she said, in the wake of Ryan's death in a tragic car accident, she was looking for a new doctor to perform the procedure to reduce her breast size to a D or double D.

Montag has said the procedures have caused her excessive pain - both mentally and physically.

Heidi Montag Explains The Tape On Her Nose

It’s no secret that she’s been heavily modified via plastic surgery, and Heidi Montag was spotted this week sporting some surgical tape over her nose.

But rather than it being from a new procedure, Heidi told press the tape was just a carry-over from her surgery back in November of 2009.

Ms. Montag explained, "Except for filming and a few photo shoots, I've had my nose tape on 24 hours a day since November. It takes a year for your nose to heal. This is just the first photo that anyone has seen of it."

"The last time I didn't wear tape after surgery and my nose changed shape. The tape is supposed to keep the swelling down and hold my nose in place the way Dr. Ryan sculpted it. Dr. Ryan always said I was his best, most cautious patient, and I'm not taking any chances now that he's gone. I don't want my face to fall off like Michael Jackson's."

Heidi's Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan Dies

TMZ has learned ... Dr. Frank Ryan -- a prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon to the stars, famous for Heidi Montag's extreme makeover, was killed in a car crash.

According to law enforcement, Dr. Ryan's Jeep went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway yesterday at around 4:30 PM. The Jeep landed on rocks and lifeguards initially tried to help Ryan, to no avail.

Ryan, who was 50, was trapped in the vehicle and had major head injuries. The Ventura County Fire Department tried hoisting Ryan using a helicopter, but the attempt was called off. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Minutes before the crash, Ryan Tweeted, "After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!"

Ryan's last Tweet, "Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune." Ryan posted the picture below with his Tweet. Law enforcement tells us the dog was injured but survived.

UPDATE: Heidi Montag just took to Twitter to post her grievances. "I am devastated to hear the news of Dr. Frank Ryan's death. He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world."

"My thoughts and prayers go out to his mother, family, friends, and anyone who was ever blessed enough to meet him," she concluded. "He is in a better place."

Heidi Montag's Rep Says Drug Rumors Not True

Heidi Montag is brushing off reports claiming she's hooked on pain killers. Her rep tells X17online:

"This couldn't be further from the truth. Dr. Ryan would never prescribe her more medicine than needed. Like after any surgery, I'm sure she was prescribed pain killers, but she has never abused them."

A source close to 23-year-old Heidi says these claims are "ridiculous" and "since it's not true, it doesn't really bother her."

Heidi's rep adds that the Pratts are way too active to be pill poppers, telling us:

"Heidi and Spencer are more active than ever. Heidi has been surfing and golfing just about every day. There's no way she could be out of it. She has no ability to be on pain meds. It's impossible."

Calls to Dr. Frank Ryan, Heidi's plastic surgeon, were not immediately returned.

Heidi's Doctor: I Won't Operate on Her Anymore!

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Frank Ryan recently performed 10 procedures on Heidi Montag, ranging from breast implants to a brow lift to fat injections in her cheeks.

Now he tells UsMagazine.com he won't operate on The Hills star, 23, again.

"There’s really nothing to do!" he told Us Tuesday at the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lights Camera Fashion Pre-Oscar Party. "I told Heidi that, 'What are you going to do? You’re done!'"

(Montag recently told Us she didn't get her DDD breasts "as big as I originally wanted!")

Ryan -- who also performed Montag's nose job and breast augmentation in 2007-- told Us that some of Montag's peers have "definitely" called up and made similar surgery requests.

"In the reality [TV] world, there’s a lot of competition and there’s a lot of possessiveness for one’s doctor," he told Us. "It’s pretty interesting."

Is Heidi Montag In Love W/ Her Plastic Surgeon?

Heidi Montag's plastic surgeon is responsible for imprisoning her behind a vacant Barbie face of doom - and Heidi's got major Stockholm syndrome!

Star magazine report that the (married) Bride Of Frankenstein is crushing hard on her surgeon, Dr. Frankenstein Ryan - the dude behind her ten-procedures-in-one-day marathon.

"Heidi has known Dr. Ryan for years, but lately she’s totally crushing on him and comes up with any excuse she can to stop by his office," says an "insider".

"She makes appointments for the most ridiculous things and stays as long as possible…"

Like most successful plastic surgeons, Dr. Ryan is also loaded. And apparently he's also lauded for his charity work - Heidi's husband Spencer isn't looking too good by comparison, is he?

"Let’s put it this way," another source told the magazine. "Spencer is fast food. Dr. Ryan is the Ritz. Spencer has to scrounge around for money, and as for his reputation? Well, you know. Dr. Ryan is already filthy rich and is considered a genuinely caring person."

Heidi Montag's Surgeon Denies She Nearly Died

Heidi Montag’s plastic surgeon has addressed claims by the reality star that she almost died following her surgery.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, Dr. Frank Ryan said Heidi’s comments to Access’ Billy Bush – that she almost died in recovery – aren’t correct.

“I almost died after my procedure,” Heidi told Billy on Monday. “I had too much Demerol like Michael Jackson did and my breathing was five breaths per minute which is like almost dead. [I was] in an aftercare center, there were nurses that were supposed to be tending to me at all times.”

But that isn’t how her doctor remembers it. “That didn’t happen as far as I know,” he told Shaun on Tuesday.

“Where would she get that information from?” Shaun asked.

“I don’t know,” Dr. Ryan said.

Heidi also claimed in her interview with Billy that medical personnel, “had to put oxygen on my face and call my plastic surgeon to come in for an emergency.”

“So Heidi got that information wrong?” Shaun asked the doctor.

“Yeah,” Dr. Ryan replies.

Dr. Ryan also said another Montag may want to go under the knife.

“Her mother on the other hand, saw the pictures and called Heidi right away and said, ‘Heidi, I want him to do a mommy makeover for me.. Can you arrange that?’” he added.

And he claimed Heidi’s mother wants the surgery soon.

“For Valentine’s Day,” Dr. Ryan claimed. “Heidi may buy it for her for Valentine’s Day.”
