Leighton Meester Loves Gwyneth Paltrow Jokes

Who knew Gwyneth Paltrow could be so raunchy?

When Us Magazine caught up with her Country Strong costar Leighton Meester at IFP's 20th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in NYC Monday, the actress said Paltrow didn't pull any punches while filming in Nashville.

"She is full of surprises. As an actress, she is so giving and talented," Meester, 24, said. "She's super down-to-earth and she makes dirty jokes. She's just a cool chick."

The Gossip Girl star even admitted to feeling a bit starstruck when she first met the Oscar winner, 38.

"She's gorgeous without any makeup on!" Meester told Us. "She came to set at 5:00 a.m. looking really hot."

After recording a song for the movie's soundtrack, the actress told Us she's anticipating the release of her own album, scheduled for release in 2011.

"I'm still writing and I'm working with a band. I'm going to start performing again soon," Meester said. "It's kind of a different sound, because I've been going through a lot this year and I'm in no rush. I want it to be perfect."

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal in Nashville

It's been a busy travel weekend for most Americans – and especially for Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Two days after enjoying maple lattes together in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Thanksgiving, Swift and Gyllenhaal popped up in the singer's hometown of Nashville.

On Saturday afternoon, the couple were spotted getting a late breakfast at Fido, a coffeehouse and café near Vanderbilt University and Music Row.

"They were smiling and laughing. They were talking a lot and enjoying each other's company," fellow diner Elaina Mishu tells PEOPLE. "They didn't look like [just] friends."

Customer Emma Rice, who snapped a photo of the pair and posted it online, calls the duo "very cute" and says, "They seemed close."

The singer, 20, and actor, 29, were first spotted together in late October.

And while Gyllenhaal has avoided commenting on his relationship with Swift, they aren't hiding their affection.

"They were not trying to be discreet by any means," another eyewitness says of the pair, who sat at a table near a window. "They were definitely a couple. They looked very happy."

Clad in Emilio Pucci, the “Gossip Girl” actress worked the arrivals area at the Nashville, Tennessee music extravaganza before heading inside to grab a prime seat ahead of the show's 8PM start time on ABC.

Kristin Cavallari Goes Nashville With New Beau

As E! News first reported last week, Kristin Cavallari has sparked a romance with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, with whom the former Hills honey went on a first date just last Monday night.

And now we've learned exclusively that the new couple spent Labor Day weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

A source tells E! that L.A.-based Cavallari met up with the footballer in Chicago, where Cutler had a private jet waiting to fly them to Nashville. Cutler played college football for Vanderbilt University and still has a lot of close friends there.

The pair "had a great time," says a source.

Fans spotted the couple getting cozy Saturday at a downtown Nashville nightspot called Winners.

Cavallari must have had fun, judging by her Twitter, where she tweeted earlier today, "This has been one of the best weekends of my life. Yeehaw!"
