According to an interview with Life & Style, Heidi Montag has been getting hate mail over her plastic surgery transformation. The Hills star underwent 10 procedures in November to achieve a look that Montag has said she feels is more in line with others in her industry. She didn’t say if she meant TV or music by “industry,” however, as the reality star and “How to Be Famous” author also released a pop album that reportedly cost over $2 million to make. So far, the album has resulted in a little more than 1,000 unit sales.
Despite swearing off plastic surgery after her 2007 breast augmentation and rhinoplasty, Montag decided to go under the knife again. She got Botox, liposuction in several areas, a breast revision, cheek implants and a chin reduction. She kept the second round of surgeries secret from friends, her Hills co-stars and even family. The strong reaction she is seeing now may be why.
“She looks like Cat Lady,” one of Heidi’s friends commented to Life & Style. “It’s all a little too much.”
Even her husband Spencer Pratt is having a hard time making the adjustment. “Spencer loved how Heidi looked before this surgery,” the friend said. “Because she’s still swollen and the surgery hasn’t settled yet, he’s a bit shocked.”
“Spencer ordered about seven bunches of flowers to cheer up Heidi because she’d received a letter or an e-mail saying that her plastic surgery was against God’s will,” a source told the magazine, saying the reportedly “spitirual” Montag took the religious jabs harder than other criticism.
Before the hate mail, however, Montag said she wanted to go still bigger with her cup size. She told People she was currently a triple D or F-cup, but wanted to go to “H for Heidi.”
